
Dan M. Tsataros

Mr. Tsataros received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Indiana University in 1989. He earned his Master’s in Business Administration from Rosary College, River Forest, IL in 1993. Also in 1993 he was awarded his Juris Doctor degree by the John Marshall Law School in Chicago, IL. Mr. Tsataros has been admitted to practice law by the Illinois Supreme Court and in 2002 by the Indiana Supreme Court.
He speaks four languages: English, Greek, Spanish, & French.
In 1994 he joined the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, where he served until 2002. While an Assistant State’s Attorney, Mr. Tsataros served in the following units of the office:
Traffic Division: Prosecuted all traffic related offenses outlined in the Illinois Vehicle Code including Driving While Suspended and Driving Under the Influence.
Juvenile Justice Bureau: Prosecuted cases of Juvenile Delinquency and Juvenile Abuse and Neglect. Conducted temporary custody hearings and adjudicated cases concerning abused and/or neglected children. Conducted hearings to determine guardianship of the minors.
Felony Review Unit: Participated in police investigations and making charging decisions in felony prosecutions.
Grand Jury Unit: Presented witnesses and evidence to the Cook County Grand Jury for criminal indictments.
Criminal Prosecutions Bureau: Member of Domestic Violence Prosecution Team, and conducted thousands of courtroom criminal prosecutions including both bench and jury trials. Since 2002, Mr. Tsataros has been engaged in the private practice of law, principally involved in criminal defense.
