Mainstream Media = Societal Posion

It has happened, the media has become fully weaponized.  Most people refer back to 2008 as the year media really started to become dangerous, as this was the year of the 2008 Obama campaign.  The media ignored Obama ties to Bill Ayers, his affinity for Saul Alinksy, and the fact that Frank Marshall Davis, self-professed, card carrying communist, was his mentor as a youth in the absence of his father.  None of this was touched by the media with the exception of Sean Hannity that was screaming for the rooftops, warning of the dangerous ideology that was vying for the Presidency.  Most people see this as the beginning of what would become the “enemy of the people”.  But when I say fully weaponized, I am not referring to partisan media, I am referring to the media’s influence over the masses that has led us into the current climate where we have completely redefined acceptable societal norms.  In a month’s time, everyone has jumped on board the “social distancing” bandwagon.  How long is it going to take to get back to the desire to meet people face to face and continue age old customs such as shaking hands?

The media has driven this societal shift, and this change could completely change not only American society, but also the global population at large.  Are we going to use the authority of the state to restrict the capacity of private businesses like restaurants?  If so, how is this going to adversely affect revenue, and how are we going have to change our business model(s) to accommodate these new draconian measures?  Media freak out leads to public freak out.  The thing that we have to remember, is the World Health Organization (WHO) made predictions early on that grossly overstated mortality rate estimations.  This was done on a large scale, and came from an international body (WHO).  This leads one to believe that this was more than just a miscalculation.  Disinformation on this level is more likely to be done with intent rather than human error.

Why does the media have this kind of influence over our behavior?  I think that it comes down to ignorance, and people wanting to follow the leader.  When I go to the store now for groceries, half the people in the store, customers and employees, are wearing masks, and the same number are wearing rubber gloves while they are pushing the cart down the aisle.    How long does it take for us to recover from this?  Do we ever recover from this and return to normalcy?  This follow the leader mentality is also being embraced by media outlets, as they just parrot stats that are put out buy these corrupt organizations, without doing their due diligence in making sure that the information is accurate and truthful.   This vital component of the mainstream media has ceased to exist.

The media is supposed to be the impartial check on the power and authority of the elite ruling class, AKA, government.  Instead, mainstream media has turned into a huge echo chamber, some partisan, and others just ignorant to the facts.  The post truth era and the societal norms that it has wrought, allows them to get away with this.  The media should not have the power to alter society overnight as we have seen in the last month.  Someone needs to hold them accountable.  That is where online alternative media comes in.  What will the next crisis be?  Once the realize that they can mold society into anything that seems desirable at the time of a crisis, and the fact that they can do it so quickly, there will be many crises in the future that they use to manipulate our minds and our behavior.

All of this being said, I cannot act like the people being taken advantage of are not somewhat to blame here.  Ignorance and complacency are cancers on American society because these things allow evil people with bad intentions, the opportunities that they need to impose their will on the masses.  It is our responsibility as Americans to educate ourselves.  In this age of the internet, there is no excuse for being ignorant.  If you are ignorant in this day and age, it is because you choose to be. Ignorance is only bliss to those that are ignorant.  To those that are educated and on top of things, ignorance can be fatal.  The media delivers lies and mistruth, but in order for us to be influenced by propaganda, we have to be willing to take their word for it without having the desire to ask questions.  We can only be taken advantage of if we allow ourselves to be deceived.  Satan is a liar, and he is distributing his message through this main stream media and their influence over the masses, or more specifically, the flesh.
